Nicole Beach, President & Treasurer
Nicole is a 4-stripe blue belt in Columbus, Ohio. She is also a marketing and public relations business consultant who has advised and supported organizations around the globe in healthcare, insurance, travel, medical & security emergency response, technology, government, education, economic development, non-profits and consumer products. “I’m most excited that I can finally use my professional talents toward an effort that means so much to me. It’s the perfect combination of my business background, a sport I love, and a cause that is close to my heart.”
Kim Freeman, Ph.D, Vice President
Kim is a 4-stripe brown belt in the Indianapolis, IN area. She is a scientist who started consulting for high end microscopy sales after leaving the field of of pediatric cardiology. Kim focuses on developing women in jiu-jitsu; providing whatever support necessary to allow them to fluorish, not just in BJJ, but in life. “Providing an avenue for women to overcome adversity creates a strong foundation for the growth of the entire population. When our women are strong, we are all strong.”
Keri Wittekind, Secretary
Keri is a purple belt at Club MMA in Cincinnati. She is also the founder of Queens of the Mat, which brings together women and girls in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu for training, camaraderie, and overall support of females in the sport. With each Queens of the Mat event, Keri selects a charitable organization to receive donated items and funds. She has been training for 4 1/2 years and has a profession in bio-science data analysis.
Nikki Sullivan, Board Member
Nikki is a brown belt training out of Nice Guy Submission Fighting. She has been training for 7 1/2 years and is known to be an top-notch competitor in tournaments and also on the professional stage at Fight to Win Pro. Off the mats, she is a teacher, artist, writer, and musician. “I’m just trying to make the world a better place, however I can. I love that my bruises from training can be used to represent a company that genuinely cares about and helps so many women.”
AJ Clingerman, Board Member
AJ is a 4-stripe blue belt and the co-owner and operator of Indiana Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy, the Extreme Grappling Open and TheFightHub.com. AJ strives to help women both on and off the mat while running Women’s Only open mats, classes and camps often benefiting women’s shelters or families in need. “I want to help guide women to having a safe and happy place to train. I think Jiu Jitsu is a great form of self defense, it can help you get in shape…but more than that, I think it will give you more confidence. I think it will help you live a happier life and make a lot of great friends in the process.”
